About Indigo

Where operational urgency meets technical excellence

Indigo Industries is an Independent Test Organization and defense technology integrator headquartered in Greenwood, Indiana. Founded by Colin McCavitt in 2018, we accelerate the transition of emerging technologies into operational military capability.

Our mission

Indigo was born out of the need to address longstanding challenges in the Department of Defense acquisition process. We were founded with a single mission: to rapidly identify, mature, and transition advanced technologies that address critical national security needs, without being bound by the traditional acquisition system's constraints.

Our work is anchored in a non-traditional, results-driven methodology that aligns with the 2016–2022 National Defense Authorization Acts. Those laws encourage commercial and government off-the-shelf solutions, prototype-based contracting, and the Adaptive Acquisition Framework, all principles that define how Indigo operates.
